National Collegiate Reporting Competition

Golden PavilionThe Scripps Howard Foundation, with Indiana University Journalism, established the Roy W. Howard National Collegiate Reporting Competition in 1984 to honor the memory of the journalist who led Scripps Howard Newspapers from 1922-1953 and United Press from 1912-1920.

Journalism students submit an entry form, portfolio of their work, letter of recommendation, 400-word essay and resume to the Scripps Howard Foundation for consideration. (See below.)
