Social Media’s A1 Problem (+ An Idea) – 10,000 Words

Given our discussion of Page 1 and notes on the critique of this week’s print issue, I found this discussion comparing news judgment for the front page and on Twitter pretty interesting. The quote that struck me most was about our fragmented audiences, meaning readers no longer look to one news organization or area for their news (instead, we get links to news from FB, Twitter, e-newsletters, papers, magazines, etc.)

Here’s the quote: “The side door to your content may actually be the main door for some.” This helps underscore the need to push out our content to as many outlets as possible. A link to the initial blog is below.
